Merry Christmas to all

Today is Christmas Eve and I wanted to post a most blessed Merry Christmas to all. I have had many Christmas Eve's in my life and it seems that as I age, I have so many different emotions at Christmas. All are very good, wonderful memories and fellowship. Beautiful music, worship at church and Christian fellowship fill my memories.
I pray that any of you that drop by my blog today are blessed with a very special holiday filled with memories.
God Bless You All!

Cardz Tv Challenge 2 "Crafty Christmas"

I made a banner for my mantle using the Elegant Edges cartridge for the bases and the Storybook Cartridge for the letters.  I had some pretty pointsettias in my "stash" and so I put them on the banner.  It was very easy to make and looks pretty as it hangs!  Thanks for looking, TATA

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 97

I kinda, sorta, well I did "scrap-lift" this from Mary, but I love the baby Jesus with all my heart.  One of my most favorite listening at this time of year is Handel's Messiah.  "For Unto Us a Child is Born" tells of the wonderful coming of Jesus' birth.  Thanks for looking, TATA

Christmas Tree

I finally used my Sophie cartridge and made this card using the tree.  I used some pretty foil paper (does not show very well) for the base shape and some green for the top layer.  I did the design in the Cricut Craft Room, what a great program!  I stamped with a sentiment from Cardz TV stamps.  This was a very simple card to make but it is very pretty in person.
Thanks for looking, TATA!

Say it with "S" Challenge

I made a gate-fold card for this project.  The "S"tocking is from Jolly Holiday cartridge and is cut at 3 inches.  I used the Cricut Craft Room to make the cuts.  I also used Elegant Edges for the background mat.  I love making gate-fold cards, they are quite easy.  I stamped a sentiment inside the card using a CardzTV stamp that says "Merry Christmas".

Thanksgiving

Tomorrow we will celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA.  Let us be mindful of those who came before us to join at the dinner table and give thanks for blessings of family, food and friendship.  Wonder what it would be like if those pilgrams and Indians had not decided that our world is full of good things and that we should all get along and share our bountiful blessings?
I am so blessed with 4 great children, 2 son-in-laws and 2 daughter-in-laws and 7 wonderful grandchildren.
My blessing to all is to treasure your family, give thanks for your blessings and share something with someone.

Paper Cutz Let's Talk Turkey!

Here's my turkey, staring at you saying "please don't eat me"!  I did this activity with a Creative Kutz design project.  This was fun to do.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, I am so blessed in my life and I pass on many blessings to all.

Second Christmas Card for 2011

Here is another card I did for the cattlemen silent auction. I got the cow from Country Life and remembered that My Pink Stamper had a cute sentiment, "Have a moo-velous day" so I used that stamp and added Holi to day!! I am still looking for "cow ideas" if anyone has suggestions, please pass along to me!!

Flower Shoppe Cartridge!

Ok, I am just about finished with updating my blog for today!! I have been so busy getting ready for the college class I will be teaching and doing a bit of scrapping that I have forgotten to load my pictures with the cards. I got the Flower Shoppe cartridge and I love it. The directions in the booklet are a bit lacking (or they were for me) so I looked on Youtube and found several great tutorials that helped me get started with this cartridge. I plan to use it a lot and think I will have fun creating my own flowers. I did this card and used some teeny-tiny roses. Pretty simple design but the little flowers added a nice touch. Thanks for looking, TATA!

Flutter By!

Sometimes you just need a card to say "HI" to someone and I made up this card for just that time. It was very simple, that is my style but I think the sentiment give a nice message. Thanks for looking, TATA

Book Worm

My granddaughter started kindergarten this year and she loves it. We designed this card and made one for her teacher. She said she wanted her teacher to know that she is a true "book worm"! We used the Create a Critter cartridge for the worm, Recess cartridge for the pile of books and a stamp from My Pink Stamper for the sentiment. It is so important to impress the value of reading to our children and grandchildren and I love it that all my "grandies" love books! My children did also and they are passing the joy of reading on to their children. Thanks for looking, TATA

Coffee Card

I had some cute coffee paper in my stash and wanted to make a card, so I went to mycutsearch.com and found a really nice coffee cup border on the Wall Decor cartridge! I love that search site. I cut the border and used a stamp set I had for the sentiment and the little coffee beans. I popped up the border with some mounting tape. I could smell the coffee brewing while I was making this cute card, so, of course I headed to the kitchen and made a pot of fresh coffee.

I made this card for two challenges this week. I took the "R" slide from the Speaking of School cartridge and put it on some school paper I had. The Paper Cutz challenge was to use only 3 colors and I used red, black and white.
I stamped the word "recess" with some Stamps of Life alphabet stamps and used some twine and stickles for extras!

Tacky Tuesday berry challenge for this card. I used some strawberry paper for the base, then stamped my sentiment, "You're berry special to me" and attached that to a label from the Lacy Label cartridge.

Paper Cutz # 102

I made this card for the Paper Cutz 102 challenge. I used my Life is a Beach cartridge for the cuts. The whale is on page 70 and I cut it as 2 3/4inches. I cut the wave border found on page 45 in three colors at 1 3/4 inches.
I use the bubbles folder with my Cuttlebug for the background. I added some stickles and there you have it. The stamp from from My Pink Stamper folder called Punnylicious. Wish I was under the sea today, the temp has been about 97 degree with terribly high humidity in southern TN.
Thanks for looking, y'll.

Cooking with Cricut Bunny Challenge # 44

Hi, for this challenge I used the bunny from Kates ABCs cartridge, it is so cute! I stamped "Some Bunny Loves You" with a stamp from My Pink Stamper collection called Even More Punnylicious. Funny story about this. I peeled off the stamp and got busy doing something else. When I got back to making the card, I could not find the little stamp, uggg. I looked and looked and finally found it on the back of a Cricut mat. Moral to all this, do not try to multi-task at the ripe old age of 67!
Thanks for looking at my card.

Summer Dress

It is so hot in southern TN! I made this split side-step card with a nice cool looking summer dress today. I used a stamp from Pink by Design from her "Summer Dresses" stamp set. It helped me "kool" off for the day!

Fun Visit

Hi y'all!
I had the opportunity to visit Mary from CardzTV Monday and had such a nice time with her. She is truly an inspiration to me and to so many of us in the craftiing world. She helped me with a video and took time to make a short one with me in her studio. We laughed and laughed, but we made it through the almost 4 minutes as seriously as we could!
Thx again Mary!

Sharing a blessing

One of the reasons I have started a blogspot is to share about and with my family special happenings. I am so happy and relieved to post that my daughter and her husband are both back from their deployment to Iraq. They are both very special and I am blessed that they have chosen the path of service to our country. I continue to be in pray for all our military and their families as I share my good news with you.
I love you Ginny and Elnur, so happy you are back on US soil!

Paper Cutz #97 Pink, White, Orange

Here is my pink, white and orange card for the challenge. Of course everyone loves a pink elephant! I used the cute elephant from Create a Critter, did some embossing on the orange and white mat, added some ribbon and a sentiment.
Thx for looking!

Tacky Tuesday Challenge sea creatures

I did this card with the whale from "B is for Boy" cartridge and a stamp from My Pink Stamper collection Punnylicious.
Thx for looking!

My Craft Spot "Seeing Stars" challenge

I did this card at a workshop last week and it was perfect for this challenge. We punched the stars and embossed them, then we embossed our backgroud mat and glued on the stars. I love the effect, it looks like they are a piece of fabric. We stamped the flag, added some twine and finished the card. I hope it is ok to use this one for my project, it was fun to make.
Thx for looking!

Cookin with Cricut Melon challenge

Yum, yum, melons in the summertime!
I used the melon from Simply Charmed found on page 46 for my card and the sentiment. I tried to make seeds dripping from the smiley face to look like we all do when we eat watermelon!
Thanks for looking and have a great summer day.
